When we think of originality and free will, often times there’s a standard or boundaries that many people create in order to maintain an realistic balance. What happens when you meet somebody who doesn’t believe in the boundaries though? You get Stefon Pack, who in between dropping debut collections that sell out in a day, serving as a stylist, modeling on runways, showing his eye as a creative director for music videos, and dropping loose music here and there for the past few years (good luck finding all those), stopped by for a good face to face convo with us to discuss all the above and everything else in between.
1) What were your first steps jumping into this world/lifestyle of creativity like?

A: First I wanna say thanks for the opportunity because being recognized for your passion is really a blessing. At first it was just getting pieces that I thought would be best for me to showcase my style, vision, & creativity honestly. Like a few pair of old jays and Jeremy Scott’s for footwear and like vintage polo stuff shout out old buying & selling lol along w/ like w.e money I could scrape up to cop the good stuff like Margiela collabs , preme ,and other high end stuff of that nature.

2) How do you use the multiple outlets of creativity you’re involved in to express yourself in different ways? Is each form used for specific purposes?

A: Honestly other than being paid to do like directing or styling , for the most I’m just doing what I feel is right for me within that moment being true to myself . you know the motto bro “b , u.” I’m expressing ideas through everything I do mainly through picture not really like oh I feel sad so ima do some sad shit. Just strictly whatever idea I have in that moment might be inspired by an emotion but I’m too in my head tryna get my exact vision to speak out loud in front of everyone watching while also trying to inspire and motivate whoever I can reach.

3) Do you ever run into creative block? How do you deal with them? If not, what’s the key to keeping your mind at work?

A: That’s a good question, nah not really cause I’m just doing what comes natural never forcing anything is the best way to keep your flow feel me.

4) These days consumers are always in a state of demand, is it more important to you to give the people what they want or to hold out for the sake of your own mental clarity?

A: NEVER FORCING anything bro , if I got it the people got it. If I don’t whoever’s really into what I’m doing will be patient and respect the craft because 9/10 Ima give them what they want and remind them every time why they fuck with me in the first place.

5) What are you finding to be some pros and cons of everybody getting into entrepreneurship? there’s a lot that comes with the territory that a lot of people don’t realize.

A: I think pros outweigh the cons but that depends on who you asking and where they are with where they wanna be. But personally for a pro I really like actually having an idea and getting out into real life where you actually receive the full vision I had and feel or see what the idea was and people actually having opinions on whatever both good and bad. To me there ain’t no better feeling other than that along with getting a solid check for something you don’t really perceive as work. Who says you can’t be paid to have fun, oh and I really like the recognition and being respected for what I do, that being creative directing and styling occasionally modeling and getting pieces from my sample brand “ghs=GirlsHeavenSent” out.

Cons can get heavy though if I’m being honest. Feeling like you’ve put way more product out compared to the love and whate the end result is supposed to be or feeling like you by yourself and nobody supporting. Truth is you are alone and you have no choice but to be fine with it because at the end of the day them checks come and it’s your mind at work and you’re working to give birth to your ideas feel me that shouldn’t or could never be nobody else’s responsibility so you shouldn’t be depending on or waiting on nobody.
“Thanks everybody for rocking w/ me, I dead wanna send shout outs and recognition first to the man above feel me, I learned that from my momma. Along w/ few family members shoutout to my boy Orie and Fourplay , son Dela Wess with GBA and everybody he knows, the young bulls @ Subi, son Glodell and his camp and their brands and bro Chino w/ Bhinoscloset and my guy Mell Jiggy, to the TPs and my family that’s doing they thing w/ music too you’ll be seeing them on tv soon. The list really goes on I know too many creative people doing what they do in they field model/ photographers/ designers / pr /etc. IF YOU CAN HELP EACH OTHER THEN HELP!” – StefonPack.
